Red, blue and white swirls where the black G10 used to be. CIVIVI’s 12th-anniversary Elementum swaps the plain handle for Nebula FatCarbon, and there are only 2,014 of them, each numbered and shipped with a signed certificate.

Controls and Size

The standard C907A Elementum uses a flipper, a liner lock and a D2 blade. This one opens with thumb studs and closes with a crossbar lock, so it feels pretty different in the hand even though the outline looks familiar. The blade is still 2.96 inches, and the knife still measures 6.99 inches open.

Closed, it’s 4.03 inches long and weighs 2.9 ounces. The handle is 0.45 inches thick, a hair more than the C907A’s 0.43 inches, which your pocket won’t notice.

Under the black stonewash is CPM S35VN at 58 to 60 HRC, ground into a hollow drop point, and the pivot keeps the caged ceramic ball bearings from the standard model.

The Titanium Clip

The only titanium on this knife is the 6AL4V pocket clip, and it swaps sides for left or right tip-up carry. Everything else on the hardware list, screws and thumb studs included, stays stainless steel, with the liners blacked out to match the blade.

Is It Worth Hunting Down?

Only if you collect Elementums.

The Nebula pattern is the whole appeal here, and it’s loud in a way the all-black Elementum never tried to be. For a knife that’s going to open Amazon boxes and break down cardboard, I’d rather spend less and stop worrying about scratching a numbered collectible. At $108.53, it was priced like a fun upgrade rather than a grail, which is probably why it sold through.

For the Elementum shape as a daily carry, the Elementum II has a 2.96-inch Nitro-V blade and a black G10 handle.

This one’s for you if your knife drawer already holds a few Elementums. Everyone else should grab the Elementum II and keep the change.
