NEWS – There’s nothing better than a good leather bag, right? WP Standard has a history of making great leather bags, and the new Woodward Briefcase marks the return of a business-ready brief to its product lineup.
The Woodward Briefcase shows off all the things we love about WP Standard designs. The aesthetic is uncomplicated and extremely functional. You get a padded laptop sleeve and a zippered pocket in the main compartment, with open pockets on the front and back of the bag for your quick-grab stuff. You’ve got two carry options between the long grab handles and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with its own shoulder pad. The total size is 16.5″ wide by 12.5″ tall by 4.5″ deep allowing plenty of room for your work gear, and the whole package comes in at a shoulder-friendly 3.2 pounds.
We’ve reviewed WP Standard products before like the WP Standard Wine Tote, and the build quality is always outstanding. Solid brass hardware is used throughout for long-lasting toughness. The 100% full grain leather is available in three finishes: tan, brown, and black. WP Standard lets a *little* bit of ruggedness show through in their finishing which I like. It presents as a bag that you can dress up with a suit or dress down with jeans, but it never looks out of place in either situation.
I’m also a fan of their pricing. The WP Standard Woodward Briefcase retails for $348… a relative value compared to other makers using full-grain leather in their bags.
