NEWS – I love the idea behind Apple’s AirTag: I can find stuff that I lose no matter where I lose it. What could possibly be better than an AirTag? Having all the features of an AirTag without having to actually buy the AirTag itself. Last spring, Apple announced that they were opening up their Find My network so that third-party accessories could begin to use it. There haven’t been many gadgets yet that take advantage of this, but Targus recently announced that they will be selling a backpack (called the Cypress™ Hero EcoSmart® Backpack) next spring with builtin Find My. That’s a great idea! I already keep my laptop and other valuables in a backpack, so of course I’d want to find it if I lost it. Targus was named a CES® 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree for the product. I am looking forward to this backpack and a host of other products with this feature.
