Today Misfit is introducing the Shine 2, an update to their award-winning Shine Fitness and Sleep Monitor. The Shine 2 has been redesigned to track activity and sleep more accurately with a 3-axis accelerometer and a newly added 3-axis magnetometer. The iconic ring of status LEDs has also been updated from all white LEDs, to vivid multi-colored LEDs that can show 16 million different colors. Also added is the new Move feature which vibrates to remind you to get up and move after a period of inactivity. The Shine 2 can also alert you to incoming text messages and calls. The improved touch responsiveness with capacitive sensing technology allows you to use the tracker for more than counting steps. It can communicate with friends, turn your lights on, change your music, take a selfie, advance slides, and more, all with a double tap. The Shine 2 has an aircraft-grade aluminum body that is water resistant up to 50 meters, and has a battery that lasts for 6 months. The Misfit Shine 2 comes in Rose Gold and Carbon Black and is available now for purchase on misfit.com for $99.99.
