WiFi home security cameras are one of latest gadgets to explode in popularity in the last year or two. It seemed like this category really took off after Dropcam came on the scene. Before Dropcams and other cameras like them, home security cameras were not plug and play. Far from it. They required hard wiring installation, special hardware and separate TV monitors. While you can still buy camera security systems that require wires and DVR like set-top boxes, people with more casual needs prefer cloud-based WiFi cameras like Logi’s (Logitech’s new name) new Circle Home Connection Camera. The Circle camera features a 135 wide angle lens, night vision and 2-way audio. Some of the features that set Circle apart from other cameras on the market are its charging base that allows the camera to be removed and then relocated for completely wire-free use for up to 12hrs. It also can give you a 30-second review of the whole day’s activities and 24hrs of free cloud storage. Other subscription plans and features will soon be announced. The Logi Circle is available for pre-order for $199.99 and is expected to begin shipping later this month (October 2015). Visit Logi for more info.
