Biking and running are two of the most popular fitness activities around. Now most folks do their outdoor activities during regular daylight hours, but if you are like me and live in the desert, that 4pm walk ain’t happening in the summer. Although I have no issues with walking late at night or early in the morning, I am concerned about being seen in the dark. The FireFly Running & Biking Safety Light Spurs caught my eye as a possible solution to my concerns. The FireFly is designed to be clipped to the back of your shoes. The FireFly comes in two colors, bright neon green and red, have two operating modes, always on and flashing, and will last up to 100 hours before the battery needs to be replaced. Available for $15.95 on Fancy, the FireFly Running & Biking Safety Light Spurs might just be the giddy up you need to get your night run on.

Shoe spurs are a good idea, but one of the companies that sells these running accessories says, drivers are more likely to recognize the human form with multiple sources of lights.
That means that both shoes, both wrists, chest and back, and a reflective vest or braces should be used if running in absolute darkness (i.e. desert).
