I’ve seen a lot of waterproof pouches for smartphones and tablets, and they all seem to be a variation of a Ziploc baggie on steroids. They will protect your electronics against water damage, but that’s it. The new Waterproof Portfolio for Tablets from Travelon adds a stand function to the waterproof case, making it easier to use your tablet by the beach or pool. You can see from the photo that the pouch is big enough to hold a full-sized iPad or similarly sized tablet. You can use the touchscreen through the case, and there’s even a clear cover over the back camera’s lens so you can take pictures without removing the tablet. (This feature seems to be designed with an iPad in mind, so I’m not sure how well it would work with the cameras on other tablets.) A foam insert allows the case to float should you drop it in the water, and the case will fold into a horizontal or vertical stand for hands-free reading or video watching. The Waterproof Portfolio for Tablets is coming soon and will cost $40.00.

The way the stand locks into place reminds me of a Pdair case i have here.
