If you happen to own an OTG enabled Android smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S3 or S4, this $10 OTG adapter from Brando will effectively turn your smartphone into a mini workstation. The Stand Hub has 3 OTG USB connections that can be used to connect a keyboard, mouse and a flash memory drive. It also  can prop the phone up in an optimal viewing angle via the built in stand slot. I have one on the way to try out, so look for a full review soon.

Update: I’ve posted my full review.

  2. I’ll be keeping an eye out for this review. I’ve been wanting an OTG cable for my Note2 in order to use a USB thumb drive. I actually ordered one from Amazon, but the micro fitting didn’t properly fit.

  3. I have an LG Spirit w. Android 4.04. Will it work with it? (You’ll have to bear with me, this is all a little like rocket science.)

  4. Most mice run off an AA battery so no “drain” there. Same with some keyboards I have found. Should be good.

    1. I can’t say that the this product will work with every Android phone out there… All I know is that all Android phones with version 3.1 or newer are supposed to support USB_On-The-Go. Once I get the sample, I’ll be able to test it with an Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, Note 2 and a Droid X.

  5. I would be interested in the outcome of your test drive for the Note 2 also. Looks like a great prod if it works well.

    1. @Kenny I just got it and have been playing with it for about 10 minutes on my SGS3 and SGN2. So far the best word to describe it is WOW. I have a full sized USB Lenovo keyboard and a USB Lenovo mouse plugged in along with a 32GB Kingston USB flash drive. All three are working flawlessly so far. I’ll see if I can get something more “review-like” written up and posted tomorrow.
