I bought one of these for £29 on sale I have connected my Ipad and Iphone at the same time with both streaming video (The iphone 4 does not stream video well), I connected a 2.5″ HD as well with no problems.
Some points you did not mention:
– It has a network cable socket so it can be used as a network to wifi repeater.
– It can be configured with login and password (there are a lot of configuration options)
– The reader is suposedly SDXC compatible (I cannot confirm yet)
– It is wifi N compatible.
– It can supposedly connect (at the same time) to a second wifi network to be used as a repeater/filter
It may possibly be used as an adhoc wifi connection to connect an i-device to an apple TV but I do not have an apple TV yet.
This should work with an android device (Their software is only iOS) as all the devices are mounted/visible on a web browser connected to the device.
website wants 79.99 not 59.99
@Kevin I won’t bet my life on it, but I know I saw $59.99 yesterday when I wrote the news. I’ve updated the post to reflect the current price.
What video formats will it stream from an SD or USB storage device? Will it stream FLV?
