I’ve seen lots of accessories designed to protect an iPad while children use it, but this is the first accessory I’ve seen for the Kindle Fire tablet. Amazon has two versions of the Inflatable Play Cube for Kindle Fire – Dora the Explorer or SpongeBob SquarePants. These cubes weigh about 2 pounds, and they inflate into cube-shaped tables that measure about 1.5-feet per side. There’s a frame with a built-in screen protector on the top that holds the Kindle Fire inside a well that’s rimmed by inflated bumpers. You can stand the cube up for table use, or lay it on the side for watching videos. It’s easy to change from horizontal to vertical orientation, too – just turn the cube. It’s $34.95, and it comes with a foot pump for easy inflation.
