Great news today for Boxee Box owners. D-Link and Boxee have just announced that Netflix is finally available. Sure enough, I just finished doing a firmware upgrade my own Boxee Box and was able to play a Netflix movie. Joy! Previously, our main solution for premium movie rentals was VUDU, which I actually like because they get new movies the same day that they are released on DVD. Rentals through VUDU are $5.99 for HDX (1080p), $4.99 HD (720p) and $3.99 for SD (480p). They also offer some moviews at $2 for 2 nights. With Netflix, you will be able to enjoy an unlimited amount of movies and TV shows for only $7.99 a month. Netflix helps make the Boxee Box an even better device than it already was. It will be even nicer once Hulu becomes available. Press release after the jump.
