After being disappointed that I wasn't able to use either the Orange SPV500 or the Motorola MPx220 smartphones here at my house on the Cingular or AT&T networks, I pretty much resigned myself to waiting until March (that's when my current Verizon contract runs out) to upgrade to a new phone. As usual, my impatience is getting the best of me. I'm seriously considering buying the Treo 650 and trying my hand at converting / hacking it to run on the Verizon network. Some industrious people have already created DIY guides for this very process. Has anyone out there in Gadgeteer land actually done this? If so, please share your experiences!
