Here are a few close up shots of the chunky stainless steel body. Except for the back of the watch, the rest is one piece of steel.
The watch with band weighs in at 2 oz. The watch case is 1.25 x 1.34 x 0.375 inches.
The DIGIBEAT is definitely a cool wristwatch. I just wish it had the ability to display the time in 12hr format and to display the time all the time and not just for 20 seconds after you press the button.

I agree completely with your statement about watches…I have gone through a LOT of watches to find the perfect one. I had one of those Abacus Palm watches, but the battery would not hold a charge…so I had to send it back. I realized my three-year-old dream of owning a Casio Protrek watch about a month ago, when I got my Protrek 80. It has everything a watch should have, including sensors for barometric pressure, altitude, temperature and it even has a digital compass with moving LCD rose. It’s a great watch, and it’s solar powered! It’s huge, but I adore it. I am in watch heaven!!!

I agree with that article. I haven’t worn a watch in years and it’s not just because I have a cellphone. It seems clocks are everywhere now, almost all electronic devices have one. Plus I don’t need to check the time as often because my PDA reminds me when it’s time to do something. If I really need to I can dig my pocketwatch (aka phone) out of my pocket. Hmmm… maybe I should put it on a big gold chain…
In regard to the video aspect of the review, I like it. It really helps me to get a sense of what the device really would be like to have.
And also, after knowing you digitally for like 7 years, it is nice to hear your voice. 🙂

I like the review…nice job, especially for a first one. As for me, I don’t think I could live without a watch…I’m always looking at my wrist to see the time. That and I’m always on the look out for a new gadgety kind of watch. Still wearing my Casio wrist camera, even though I don’t really ever use the camera anymore other than to play with when I’m bored somewhere.

I agree with you, Julie…a picture is worth a thousand words. Seeing the watch in action on your wrist gives a much better “feel” for how the watch actually wears than static photos. I also like the human element it adds to the review. Keep ’em coming!
I bought this watch (blue version) as a result of reading the review and am very pleased. Excellent display (big, clear, bright) is the best LED I’ve seen. The case is solid and quite large so beware if you have a small wrist. Strangely, the watch seems to be cheaper in the UK than in the states – usually, items are cheaper over there. I paid the equivalent of $100 including p & p. Very striking, unusual watch and recommended.

I bought the blue version of this watch a few years back and wore it constantly for about a year… im not sure why I stopped wearing it to be honest and im in the process of buying a bright blue strap for it right at this moment and im going to start wearing it again… Its a good looking watch…
