I recently bought an iRobot floor cleaner, and while digging around on their site, I found they also sell a little robot that can take over the chore of cleaning out your gutters for you. The iRobot Looj Gutter Cleaning Robot is only about 2″ tall X 3″ wide by 15.6″ long, so it fits into most gutters. It’s made to withstand the wet conditions found in gutters, and it has a four-stage auger to clean out the leaves and gunk clogging them. It has a 2600mAh lithium-ion battery that provides enough power to clean 200 linear feet of gutters per charge. It can clean 50 feet of gutter in five minutes while you stay safely on the ground. You’ll have to climb up to get it started, of course, but the Looj has a belt clip to keep your hands free for safer climbing, and you’ll be able to control it with the removable handle that serves as a wireless remote with a 50′ reach. (You can also control it manually, if you prefer.)
If you order from the iRobot site before 11:59 P.M. (EST) on March 16, 2014, you’ll get a free accessory kit with extra ejectors and breakers (to change the cleaning style) and a soft storage bag. The iRobot Looj is $299.99.
