speedtech-sm-28-weather-monitorIf you’re an outdoorsman (or if you are impacted by the current winter storm), you need a way to monitor weather conditions.  The Speedtech SM-28 Handheld Weather Monitor is a lightweight weather tool that lets you monitor most every possible environmental condition.  It has a lanyard to keep it handy, and the cover flips open to provide a handle.  There is also a tripod mount.  You can measure wind speed, wind chill, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, dew point, heat index, and altitude.  The Speedtech SM-28 has a storm alarm, a replaceable 400-hour lithium battery, and it is water-resistant and floats.  It even has a 16-hour bar graph to review recent conditions.  It’s $188.50, directly from Speedtech.

I use a Kestrel 4000…runs forever on two AA’s and even does dewpoint. This one does look interesting!
