One of the nice things about the iPod shuffle is the fact that you don’t need a case for it. That doesn’t mean the shuffle won’t appreciate a little added protection though. Marware has a new product called the SportGrip. This soft silicone cover protects the sides of the shuffle, while adding an attachment point for an included carbiner.
Available in 10 colors (Black, Gray, White, Pink, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, and Plum), the one piece SportGrip is easy to install and remove due to the stretchy nature of the silicone material. Once installed, you have full access to all of the shuffle’s features. Even the USB connector can be accessed by pulling both the cap and bottom of the SportGrip, till the USB connector can pop out. Don’t worry, the silicone material is strong and should not tear.
The included carbiner can be attached to the split ring, so that you can hang the shuffle from your backpack, belt loop or where ever you desire. You are instructed not to use the SportGrip and carbiner as a keyring though… why, I’m not sure.
There isn’t much to this product. It is simple and easy to use. I the SportGrip better than the silicone shuffle covers that I’ve reviewed in the past because this one is easier to put on and take off since it doesn’t cover the entire device. If you want minimal protection for a minimal price, then this shuffle cover might be the one for you.
