REVIEW – I’ve heard of Mini-LED screen technology, which incorporates many, many local dimming areas. I have not, however, heard of INNOCN before. Now that I have, it’s time to see if this speedy 240Hz monitor has what it takes to earn a spot on your desktop.

What is it?
The INNOCN 25M2S is a 24.5″ QHD (2560 x 1440) monitor that’s ideal for gaming with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. It accepts HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connections and comes with a stand.
What’s included?
- Monitor
- Stand and power supply
- HDMI and power cable
- Calibration report
Here’s the monitor in the shipping box. One person could carry it. It’s only slightly awkward, and not very heavy.

A two page calibration report was included, for you pixel-peepers.

Design and features
The stand is mostly plastic. The vertical riser seems to be reinforced with metal. One cable clip snaps on the back.
The stand permits the monitor to be adjusted vertically.
This shows the tilt range, looking from the side. The monitor can also be rotated in portrait mode (right).
I immediately spotted one tiny nitpick: The power plug’s strain relief is a little long, Unless you really bend it, part of the power cord might be visible along the bottom edge (see arrow).
The on-screen display really reminds me of old CRT terminals with the green text. I wonder if that was deliberate?
You can navigate the OSD via the buttons under bottom right edge. The bottom image shows the many, many display mode presets (FPS games, movie, “eye care”, etc.)
The OSD is just packed with too many settings to show, but the major categories are on the left.
There’s even a gaming specific setting, including this game crosshair which overlays itself in the center of the screen (below).
I was surprised to find a setting for the LEDs on the back of the monitor, which I had not noticed! Choose the colors or pattern you like.
None of my current monitors have built-in speakers, but this one does. The 3W + 3W speakers won’t rattle your floors but it’ll do in a pinch. There are also many PIP (picture in picture) and PBP (picture by picture) modes to choose from, if you want to view more than one source at a time.

On the top, the monitor shows how you can make small adjustments to define the borders of the display (note the green arrows). The bottom shows an example of PIP. In this case, it’s showing the same input twice (yes, you can do that).
Performance
It’s very difficult to convey what a monitor looks like in a review, but I found the Mini-LED screen to be vivid and razor sharp. It’s also really bright, which is great if you have a room with a lot of light.
My laptop doesn’t put out the eye-watering refresh rate of 240Hz. The only way I could test the refresh rate was by plugging it into my gaming PC, equipped with an AMD 9800 x3D CPU and RTX 5090 GPU. Yup, it hit 240Hz.
Final thoughts
If you’ve never seen a Mini-LED screen and you don’t want to go with OLED, take a look at the INNOCN 25M2S. With QHD resolution and Mini-LED local dimming, it’ll take nearly anything you throw at it with ease.
What I like about X
- Very bright, very sharp
- Built-in speakers (if you need it)
- Up to 240Hz for gamers
What needs to be improved?
- The power plug should be a little shorter where it connects to the monitor.
