NEWS – If you are anything like me, you’re always on the lookout for unique gear to keep your EDC game strong. This week, I’ve spotted some new Kickstarter campaigns that promise both fun and serious utility for your pocket or bag. I promise only to bring you info on products and gear that I would personally spend my own money on. Let’s check what I have for you this week! The first one ends in just 16 hours, so don’t sleep on that one if you think you want it.
Ti-Scout – Tiny, Tactile, and Tough
What is it?
The Ti-Scout is a pocket-sized EDC “multi-tool” with a magnetic sliding mechanism you can click, snap, and play with for stress relief. But Ti-Scout also packs in a bunch of tools, including a compass, thermometer, level, magnifying glass, bottle opener, flint, and crowbar.
Why do I like it?
This totally reminded me of something I would have LOVED as a kid. The compass, thermometer, level, and magnifying lens are just cool. I don’t even know if I’d actually use them, but there’s something about the Ti-Scout that just makes me want to pull out my credit card. It would look cool hanging from my bag 🙂
Where can I find more info?
The Ti-Scout campaign ends tomorrow, 8/2/2025, so there’s not much time left to pledge. Thankfully, they’ve already well passed their initial funding goal of $2000. You can pre-order one for as low as $65 with shipping scheduled for November 2025. Head over to Kickstarter to order.
SPARK Spin – Fidget-Friendly Precision M390 Knife
What is it?
The SPARK Spin is a compact folding knife designed for folks who appreciate both premium blade materials and a fun, fidget-friendly action. It uses top-notch M390 steel for the blade (which means it stays sharp for ages and fights off rust) and titanium in the handle.
Why do I like it?
The geared design is obviously what initially caught my eye with this knife. It satisfies the steampunk freak in me! But the gear isn’t just for show; it’s a fidget toy that spins freely, or you can spin it with a clicking sound. Does the gear make the knife better? No, but I still want one 😉

The SPARK Spin campaign wraps up on August 29, 2025, and it easily met the initial funding goal of $3821. You can pre-order a SPARK Spin starting at a special early backer price $149. After the campaign ends, rewards are estimated to ship starting in November 2025. Head over to their Kickstarter page for all the details.
TinyBlast – The World’s Smallest Titanium EDC Survival Tool
What is it?
TinyBlast is a 120dB survival whistle made from TC4 titanium and doubles as a glass breaker.
Why do I like it?
Even if you’re not a hiker or camper, safety gadgets like these are super useful. Maybe you’re out biking with friends and need to get someone’s attention fast, or you just want to feel safer walking home in the evening. It’s a great “just in case” item that you’ll probably forget you’re carrying until you need it. Or you can be like me and use a loud whistle to call my cat (Ozzy) in for dinner every night. Yes, my cat answers to a whistle and this one is small and light enough that I can wear it around my neck and forget it’s even there.

The TinyBlast campaign ends August 29, 2025, and is already fully funded. You can still pre-order one at early bird pricing for just $29, and shipping is expected in October 2025. More info on their Kickstarter page.
OMNI-R/Ultimate Multi-Tool Ruler – 12 Tools in Your Pocket
What is it?
The OMNI-R/Ultimate Multi-Tool Ruler packs a dozen features into a ruler that folds (twice) small enough to fit in your pocket.
Why do I like it?
I don’t know why, but I’m a sucker for unique rulers, and this one ticks all my boxes. First of all, it’s metal, it folds down to 3.2 inches long, but when it’s unfolded, it is a full 12.75 inches long! It can also be used as a protractor, a bubble level, a caliper for measuring objects, and even throws in a mini blade, a compass, and a graphite pencil.

The OMNI-R campaign ends on August 21, 2025, and it blasted through its $2,000 goal in just days. Early bird pricing puts the Samurai Black version at $69, while the fancier Space Gray goes for $79. The campaign promises global shipping by October 2025. For more info, check their Kickstarter.
Wokyis M5 – Retro Style, Modern Power
What is it?
The Wokyis M5 is a 14-in-1 docking station for Mac mini that turns it into a retro looking Macintosh computer from the golden age of Apple.
Why do I like it?
Gadgets that do more than one thing are my favorite, and the Wokyis M5 checks a lot of boxes. First of all, it provides added functionality to the Mac mini by providing M.2 NVMe slot, 10Gbps USB 3.2 ports and an SD/microSD 4.0 card reader, and 3.5mm earphone jack that delivers ultra-wideband audio input and output. But the coolest part is that it looks like a miniature Macintosh computer because it has a built-in display that can be used as an extended display for the Mac mini. I don’t even have a Mac mini, but this docking station makes me want to buy one!
Where can I find more info?
The Wokyis M5 campaign ends August 30, 2025, and it’s already blasted past its funding goal. You can pledge $200 to secure one and expect shipping to start in October 2025. For full details, visit their Kickstarter page.
Titanium Multifunctional EDC Foldable Measuring Ruler
What is it?
Yeah, I know, another ruler. I told you I like them! This one is made of titanium, has a folding design, a blade, a protractor, a removable graphite pencil, and more.
Why do I like it?
I like the folding design and the 30-degree tilt that makes it easier to see the tick marks when you’re drawing lines. This makes more sense if you watch the video below. But if asked which ruler I like better between this one and the Omni-R, I’d rather have the OMNI-R 🙂
Where can I find more info?
The campaign for the Titanium EDC Foldable Ruler ends September 3, 2025, and has already hit its funding goal. You can pre-order one for $95 and shipping starts in November 2025. You’ll find all the details and options on their Kickstarter page.
