REVIEW – I just reviewed the AiDot ENHULK 58V 16” Carbon Fiber String Trimmer and was very impressed, so when the AiDot online store asked if I’d like to try the ENHULK 58V 16” Chainsaw, how could I say no? Let’s see if the AiDot ENHULK 58V 16” Chainsaw performs just as well.
What is it?
The AiDot ENHULK 58V 16″ Brushless Cordless Chainsaw with 78.8 ft./s max chain speed uses a 58V battery system that is compatible with a slew of other garden tools from ENHULK. It sports a two speed brushless motor and a low kickback chain and bar. The ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw is equivalent to a 40cc gas powered one and will last 130 cuts of 4”x4” wood on a single charge of the included 2.5Ah battery.

Assembly, installation, and setup
The AiDot ENHULK 58V 16″ chainsaw looks like a normal gas-powered chainsaw and is equivalent power-wise to a 40cc gas chainsaw without the hassle. With the ENHULK 58V 16″ saw, there’s no pull start, gas, exhaust, or vibration, and it isn’t even loud enough to need ear muffs. Sometimes, though, electric counterparts just aren’t as powerful as gas-powered chainsaws, so let’s see how the ENHULK performs.
The ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw instructions were clear and easy to follow. When assembling the chain bar and saw chain the biggest thing is making sure you get the direction right. For some reason, the “16” written on the bar is upside down from all the other writing, which was a little confusing, but directional arrows on the bar with a silhouette of the chain link helped ensure correct assembly. You start by taking the side cover off.
Next, you loop the chain around the guide bar and then place the chain drive links into the guide bar groove. To make this part easier, I recommend gloves and a flat surface. Then, put the chain loop around the sprocket, making sure the tension pin is inserted into the lower hole in the tail of the guide bar.
You then put the side cover back on and adjust the chain tension. If you pull up on the chain in the middle you don’t want the drive links to come up more than 1.3mm so it should be pretty snug. The ENHULK 58V chainsaw comes with a single 2.5Ah 58V battery. Replacements cost $119.99 and an optional 5.0Ah 58V battery is available for $199.99 which is on par for this capacity battery.
As of now, the ENHULK 58V Max Pro Series line consists of a 16” and 18” chainsaw, two leaf blowers, two string trimmers, a hedge trimmer, and a lawn mower. I suspect more offerings will come out in the future.
Performance
Before using the ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw, I had to buy some chain oil since it is not included. A one-liter or 32-oz bottle cost me $7 at the local hardware store. The reservoir holds 300ml or about 10oz and is easy to fill and check at a glance.
The 2.3A charger will charge the 2.5Ah battery fully from empty in 70 minutes. The charger is not very big and can be wall mounted with two screws placed three inches apart. The battery features five LED segments to check the capacity at a glance, with each segment representing 20% power.
Below is a video of my first run with the ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw. I was pretty impressed with the performance, and it cut cleanly through a tree next to my house. There was no kick back, which was much quicker than my 20V reciprocating saw. Unlike the ENHULK string trimmer, the chainsaw trigger is not variable. You must activate a safety button with your thumb first to avoid accidental operation. The speed adjustment button next to the control panel is easy to reach and cycle from High to Turbo mode. I didn’t really need to, though, since the High mode had plenty of power, and I prefer having a longer battery life. High mode runs the chain at 68.9 ft/sec with no load and Turbo is good for 78.8 ft/sec. I could not really tell a major performance difference between the two speeds so I’m not really sure what the benefit is.
For the second video, I went behind my house, where there were some smaller trees that I wanted to clear out. The brushless motor isn’t very loud and I could operate it comfortably without ear muffs. The battery is nicely positioned to keep the saw balanced and easy to maneuver. Weighing in at 17 lbs, it does have enough heft to let the weight of saw do the work when cutting, but I didn’t find it too heavy to use for an extended period. Another benefit of electric is unlike a gas-powered chainsaw, there was no motor vibration, so my fingers weren’t tingling after using it for a while.
I did end up snagging a little crawler vine that jumped the chain guide links out of the groove. With the built-in wrench, the chainsaw is easy to service on the spot, and I had it cleaned out and working again in less than a minute. The ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw is a nice addition to my yard tool collection. Previously I had to borrow my neighbors gas chainsaw and it was a bit overkill to trim a few branches and smaller trees here and there. The ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw fills that gap nicely and I can use the battery with the ENHULK string trimmer that I will use a lot more often.
What I like about the ENHULK 58V 16” chainsaw
- Comes with Oregon brand chain and bar
- Good battery life
- Great power and cutting speed
What needs to be improved?
- Nothing
Final thoughts

The ENHULK 58V 16″ chainsaw performs extremely well and I was very impressed with its power and battery life. I think it’s a great addition to anyone’s yard tool collection especially if you get another ENHULK tool then you can use the battery as a backup for the other tools. If you are in the market for a small chainsaw or some new 58V yard tools you should definitely check out what ENHULK has to offer.
