NEWS – The Swiss Advance Chrono multi-tool key looks interesting, but is it truly useful? It is made of stainless steel and has the following functions: Screwdriver, leverage slot for the keyring, hex nut KW 8 / 5.5, Philipps screwdriver, ruler (cm / inch), mini saw, bottle opener, wire stripper, nail remover, parcel opener, and reset tool. I have no idea what they mean by a “reset tool”… The Swiss Advance Chrono multi-tool key is currently $10.49 on Amazon. Will you be buying one for your EDC collection? If this Swiss Advance multi-tool doesn’t spark your interest, then check out their Re-usable Travel Cutlery Knife & Fork Set looks a little more interesting to me.

  2. I’ve gotten rid of my wallet after ApplePay came out. The next target has been the keychain. It is now basically just a giant car key fob – but I’m stuck with that until the next car. To find the occasionally lost fob, I added an AirTag and, more recently, a two-sided screwdriver bit with a key ring hole. I feel the only thing I’m missing is a proper parcel opener. As I mentioned in your comments before, I’ve tried sharpening a corner of my metal credit card, but that’s just not as good at opening as a proper knife or scissor. If you know of a bit-sized parcel opener, please let me know – my life would be complete…until the TSA allows my old Swiss Army knife.

This is my long-winded preface to saying “No I would not carry the above EDC on my keychain.” It’s too big for the one function I’m after.

    1. I still carry a wallet because I shop at Walmart and they don’t take Apple Pay – I don’t think… I also like my Open Sea Leather wallet 🙂 I don’t carry any keys. Just my MINI fob. When you say “bit-sized” parcel opener, do you mean an actual bit that could fit in a bit driver?
