CROWDFUNDING NEWS – Zendure who we’ve featured in the past (check out our Zendure SuperTank review) has just launched a new Kickstarter campaign for the SuperHub.
What is it?
The SuperHub is a 4-port power adapter for your laptop that does a whole lot more than just keep your laptop charged.
- 48W GaN charger with 30W Power Delivery that can power a MacBook, MacBook Air, iPad Pro or Nintendo Switch at full speed
- HDMI 2.0 port 4K@60Hz
- 2 USB-C PD charging ports that deliver 30W and 18W respectively, and a 7.5W USB-A port with 5 Gbps data transfer speed
- SuperHub is DeX/PC Mode compatible, so you can connect an external display and keyboard to your phone for a desktop-like experience.
Why do I like it?
I like the SuperHub data and video hub because it’s a compact power adapter with extra built-in features that make it a useful accessory for desktop use and mobile use.
A lot of times when I travel, I take the power adapter for my MacBook along with an additional power adapter for my phone and other gear. With the SuperHub, I can save space and weight in my luggage/gear bag because I can use the hub to charge both my laptop and my phone at the same time as well as use it to connect to a larger display when I get to my hotel/destination.
Zendure sent me an early sample of the SuperHub and its a well-made device that has a footprint of a credit card (a stack of credit cards). It even comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Where can I find more info?
The SuperHub campaign ends on 4/8/20 and they are working towards their funding goal of $50,000. You can pre-order a SuperHub starting at $49. After the SuperHub campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in May 2020. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
