REVIEW – Some time ago, I got the opportunity to test and review the MouseTrapper Advance 2.0. It is a large Wellness mouse that is the size of a full-size keyboard. By design, it alleviates the inherent physical stresses of using the conventional mouse. I have always been interested in a mouse that helps me with the discomfort that can occur when using a conventional mouse. I now have the opportunity to test and review the MouseTrapper Flexible which is a portable EDC version of the MouseTrapper Advance 2.0.
What is it?
The Mousetrapper Flexible it a portable, wireless Wellness mouse that is designed for ease of use, and to eliminate the stresses that are inherent with the use of a standard/conventional mouse. It functions as an ergonomic USB Wireless Trackpad with 10 Customizable Macro Keys. It can be used wired or wireless.
The customization is accomplished via the MT Keys software which is available for download via the manufacturer’s website. The software lets you easily reconfigure all the button functions, add standard texts, create user profiles and more. MT Keys software is available for both Mac and PC.

The MouseTrapper Flexible is just the right size to fit perfectly in front of my Ausu Zendesk 14″ laptop. The trackpad and buttons sit in the center of the wristpad and are easy to use and very comfortable to access.

Underneath the device, there are two retractable feet and the USB dongle that is stored on the left side as shown below.

On the right side edge of the mouse, there is a mini USB port that is used for charging or for a wired connection.
Performance
The MouseTrapper Flexible/trackpad/mouse is plug and play. If you connect via the mini USB cable, it takes Windows 10 just a few seconds to recognize and set up the device. From that point on you are fully functional. I decided to use the USB dongle so that I could use it wirelessly. The Flexible came fully charged and ready to go,
Once I plugged in the dongle and pressed the power button which is to the left of the trackpad for about 5 seconds, the device connected and everything worked. You can download and use the MTKeys software from the MouseTrapper website to customize the buttons. I did download and install the software, but I did not change any of the button assignments because I like the default setup. It is important to note that the Flexible will not be recognizable or accessible via the software if using the USB wireless dongle.
You must use the mini USB cable for this.

Final thoughts
When I first looked at the concept of a mouse similar to the MouseTrapper, I formed an unsubstantiated opinion that I would not like such a device. Then I got to try the MoustTrapper Advance 2.0, and I really liked it except for the fact that it was too big to be a part of my EDC and had to remain on my desk. I also wished that it had a wireless option. Well, the MouseTrapper Flexible has solved all of my issues. So, I am just going to say well done and two thumbs up!!
