  2. I’m already a follower of @thegadgeteer on Twitter, but left the RT on my own Twitter page. Thanks, BJSwanson (Twitter name)

  3. How cool, I used to build model planes from just sticks, glue, tissue paper and a rubber band from only a diagram/plan I got somewhere. NO kits. Most were WWII planes since I was kid growing up during the war. I remember saving tin foil I peeled off chewing gum wrappers. Things were that desperate back then.

My Uncle Izzy, when stationed in northern England serviced planes like this model. My fav was the black widow.

  4. These are so cool! One of my friends has a whole collection of MicroFlight’s planes. If I wasn’t up in Canada I’d be all over this contest!

  5. The Plantraco gear and planes are fun. There are some issues with the magnetically attached batteries, but shedding the battery in a crash dumps about half the weight – they do stand up to crashing quite well…

Whoever wins it will enjoy it.

  6. Awesome – I’d love to fly one of these. Make all of the guys I fly with around here jealous that a 10″ plane outperforms their 60″ plane.

This reminds me of the little foam planes that I played with as a kid. I would love to have an R/C version

    Thanks

  9. And the winner is #44 Mike. Congrats Mike!

I’ve sent Mike an email and will wait 48hrs to hear back from him. If I don’t, I’ll pick another winner.
