How cool, I used to build model planes from just sticks, glue,tissue paper and a rubber band from only a diagram/plan I got somewhere. NO kits. Most were WWII planes since I was kid growing up during the war. I remember saving tin foil I peeled off chewing gum wrappers. Things were that desperate back then.
My Uncle Izzy, when stationed in northern England serviced planes like this model. My fav was the black widow.

The Plantraco gear and planes are fun. There are some issues with the magnetically attached batteries, but shedding the battery in a crash dumps about half the weight – they do stand up to crashing quite well…
