What with all the Arctic temperatures and snow this winter, I find my thoughts turning to power outages and emergency preparedness. This 30-Day Emergency Lantern from Brookstone promises to keep you in the light even if you lose power. The LED lantern has fourlight modes – low, medium, high, and flash – that can produce up to 300 lumens (high) or even provide 30 days of continuous light at the low setting. It will provide 3.5 days on the medium setting or 15 days when in SOS flashing mode. Its rubber housing protects it from shock, and it’s water-resistant. You can use it as a lantern, or you can even hang it from the ceiling for room lighting. It’s available in gray or orange for $49.99.

This looks a lot like Rayovac lantern for half the price… And by that I mean, that’s exactly the same lantern.
so, no mention of the high setting battery life, or the lumens on the 30 days settings ?
can’t know if they are of any use at all then :p
A traditional 60 watt incandescent bulb has approximately 800-900 lumens of light
It’s 30 days on the low setting. Can’t remember off the top of my head, but look up Rayovac LED Lantern and you’ll get the numbers. There is also a manufacturer that has the same lantern but with addition of a remote control. Either of those two are a better deal.
