Baseball, tennis and golf are three sports where it’s all in the swing. But how do you get that perfect swing, or even that better swing? Coaching is a good method, but you always have to work around their schedule and the cost! I know folks that video tape themselves, but it is hard to analyze the results and dragging video equipment around is a pain. Zepp Labs is hoping to improve our baseball, tennis and golf skills with their new product called the Zepp sensor. The Zepp sensor, part of the new Zepp Sports Platform, is a 3D motion sensor that is about 1 inch square, less than 1/2 inch thick, weighing .22 ounces (6.3 grams) and built with a rugged rubber exterior and a shock-resistant core. The sensor contains an ARM processor, multiple motion sensors and has a battery life of up to eight hours. Depending on the model you are using, the Zepp sensor will either attach to your baseball bat, tennis racket or golf glove. The Zepp sensor is designed to work with a mobile app to help you analyze and improve you technique by sending the data via Bluetooth to the app on your smartphone or tablet device.
All three Zepp sensors will be available in November at a cost of $149.99 each.
