G-Shock’s 2026 lineup covers a wider spread than the tough-watch label suggests. The nine watches below run from a $99.95 square that keeps a shape Casio has sold since the eighties to an $880 Mudmaster built for people who work in dirt, with runners, a heart-rate sensor and a full-metal dress square in between. Every pick comes out of our own coverage, and every price was checked today against the listing or Casio’s store.

  • The DW-5600E at $99.95 is still the default G-Shock, and the GW-M5610U at $129.16 adds solar charging and atomic time setting
  • The strap is the product on the DW-5600MNC-8A2 at $165, and the DW-6900CMG-3 at $145 is the camo pick
  • Runners split two ways: the GBA-950-1A tracks steps and runs at $157.95, and the GM-H5600-9 adds a heart-rate sensor at $385
  • The GST-B1000D-1A at $433.99 and the full-metal GMW-BZ5000GD-9 at $720 look like regular watches, and the Mudmaster GWG-B1000-1A3 at $880 is the field tool

Every watch here’s shock resistant with 200 meters of water resistance, so the split comes down to the job, the strap and how much metal you want on your wrist.

1: DW-5600E-1V, the square to start with

This is the default G-Shock, and it has held that spot for decades. The case keeps the square shape of the original 5000 series, and the module covers the basics well: a stopwatch, alarms, an LED backlight and 200 meters of water resistance. Our DW-5600 deep dive walks the full history of the design.

One naming note before you shop. Casio now ships this watch with an updated module, and newer boxes and listings call it the DW5600UE-1V. Casio’s own store still sells it under DW-5600E-1V at $99.95, and the product page carries Casio’s note that the name may differ on the packaging because of the upgraded module. Same square, same price. The box below runs to Casio’s page, under the name Casio sells it by.

2: GW-M5610U-1CF, the square that sets itself

The M5610U keeps the square and removes the two chores. Tough Solar charges the battery from light, and Multi-Band 6 pulls the atomic time signal overnight, so the watch sets itself and stays on the right second. It weighs 2.08 ounces and keeps the line’s 200-meter rating.

It’s the G-Shock for someone who wants to put a watch on and stop thinking about it. It anchored our everyday-wear G-Shock guide in May, and Amazon lists it at $129.16 today, with the item model number reading GW-M5610U-1CF, the exact US version.

3: DW-5600MNC-8A2, the square on a cloth strap

The DW-5600MNC-8A2 trades resin for a cloth strap with a magnetic buckle. Photo: Casio

The MNC keeps the 5600 module and changes the part your skin touches all day. The strap is cloth with a Fidlock magnetic buckle, and it swaps without tools, so a work strap and a clean strap trade places in seconds. The accent colors around the dial set it apart from the plain black square.

Our July look at the MNC got into the trade: cloth breathes better than resin and picks up dirt faster. Amazon and Casio both sell it at $165, so the premium over the DW-5600E buys the strap system and nothing else. If you swap straps often, it’s a fair trade.

4: DW-6900CMG-3, the camo one

The 6900 case is the bigger, rounder counterpoint to the squares, and this one wears its pattern loud: green and black camo resin, gold lettering and a gold ring around the three-eye dial. Under the paint it’s the standard 6900 kit, shock resistant with an LED backlight and 200 meters of water resistance.

We covered the CMG-3 in October when it landed with the season’s camo drops. Amazon lists it at $145 today under the exact model name. If the squares look too plain for you, this is the G-Shock that gets asked about.

5: GBA-950-1A, the runner

The GBA-950 is the training pick that still behaves like a watch. It counts steps, tracks runs and pairs with a phone over Bluetooth for distance and pace, and Casio’s origami-fold case structure keeps the weight down on a run. There’s no heart-rate sensor, and Casio doesn’t pretend otherwise.

It showed up in our July roundup of Casio’s most talked-about releases. Amazon lists the black GBA-950-1A at $157.95. Runners who want heart rate in the same package should read the next section before they buy.

6: GM-H5600-9, the square with a heart-rate sensor

The GM-H5600’s sensor array sits in the caseback, with the USB charging contacts beside it. Photo: Casio

Flip the GM-H5600 over and the caseback carries an optical heart-rate sensor, the one sensor no other square on this page has. The display is a high-contrast MIP panel, charging runs over USB with solar assist on top, and run distance comes from your phone’s GPS rather than a receiver built into the watch.

The gold bezel over black resin won’t suit every wrist or every office. We covered the launch in October, and Amazon lists the GM-H5600-9 at $385 today. Know the phone-GPS limit going in and it’s the only square Casio sells with heart rate built in.

7: GST-B1000D-1A, the G-Steel on a bracelet

The G-Steel line puts G-Shock toughness in a metal case, and the GST-B1000D is the one to buy on the bracelet: stainless steel, a black analog dial, Tough Solar charging and a Bluetooth phone link. It looks like a regular watch across a desk and takes a knock like a G-Shock.

Casio sells it at $440, and Amazon has it at $433.99 today. Our August G-Steel coverage worked through the family; the D in the name is the bracelet model, and it’s the exact watch in the box below.

8: GWG-B1000-1A3, the Mudmaster

The Mudmaster tops the Master of G Land line, and it’s built around a mud- and dust-resistant case for people whose work happens outdoors in the dirt. The 1A3 runs black with tan accents across the dial and indicators, a tactical colorway Casio carried into this generation.

Casio lists it at $880 and shows it in stock today, and we covered the watch in September. It’s real money for a G-Shock. If your work runs through mud and dust, this is the G-Shock built for it.

9: GMW-BZ5000GD-9, the full-metal square

The BZ5000’s dial keeps the brick pattern from the first 5000 series. Photo: Casio

The BZ5000 rebuilds the square in steel with a gold-tone finish, bracelet included, and keeps the full modern kit: Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6, Bluetooth and the brick-pattern dial texture from the original 5000. It’s the dress G-Shock, the one that wears fine with a jacket.

The Full Metal 5000 line anchored our first best-of-2026 pass in May, and the BZ is the current generation of it. Amazon lists the gold GMW-BZ5000GD-9 at $720 today.

Which one goes on your wrist

Start with the DW-5600E at $99.95 if you’ve never owned a G-Shock, or skip straight to the GW-M5610U at $129.16 if batteries and time-setting are chores you’d rather skip. Runners take the GBA-950-1A at $157.95, or the GM-H5600-9 at $385 when heart rate has to come along. The MNC at $165 and the camo 6900 at $145 are the personality picks. The GST-B1000D at $433.99 and the full-metal BZ5000 at $720 are the two that pass as regular watches, and the Mudmaster at $880 is the field tool. That’s the 2026 lineup as it stands today, and we’ll update this page as prices move.

G-Shock questions, answered

What does Multi-Band 6 actually do
The watch listens for radio time signals from six transmitters around the world and corrects itself overnight. The US signal comes from Fort Collins, Colorado. Two watches on this page have it, the GW-M5610U and the GMW-BZ5000GD-9, and both wake up on the right second without you touching a button.

Is the DW-5600E the same watch as the DW5600UE-1V
Yes. Casio updated the module, adding an LED backlight, and the newer name shows up on boxes and some listings. Casio’s own store keeps selling the watch as the DW-5600E-1V at $99.95 and prints a note about the packaging name on the page. Buy either name and you’re getting the current square.

Which of these nine needs a battery change
Four of them run on coin cells: the DW-5600E, the DW-5600MNC-8A2, the DW-6900CMG-3 and the GBA-950-1A. The other five charge from light, and the GM-H5600-9 tops up over USB as well. A 5600’s cell lasts for years, so power shouldn’t drive the choice for most people.
