NEWS – Golf laser rangefinders are everywhere. Every day, there seems to be a new one on the market. Essentially, they are the same. One might be a little quicker to acquire the target. One might offer slope compensation. But when you boil it down, they all do the same thing. Mileseey, maker of all kinds of laser measuring devices, is also in the golf laser rangefinder market. They recently successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign for their new GenePro G1 Touchscreen & GPS Golf Rangefinder, and it is a change to the laser rangefinder marketplace.

Here’s a look at everything that comes with the GenePro G1.

Beyond typical laser rangefinder duties, the GenePro G1 adds GPS capabilities with over 40,000 courses preloaded and available. This lets you look at the hole and visualize hazards along the way. It also lets you measure how far you hit each club, letting you fine-tune your game.

The GenePro G1 adds slope compensation for those times when the green is above or below you. This can be disabled for tournament play. It has a claimed 600-yard flag lock with 0.5(+/-) yard accuracy.

GPS tools just give you front/center/back measurements, and lasers just give you pin measurements. The GenePro G1 gives you dynamic front/center/back measurements to the green, giving you more information for determining your best shot.

A unique feature of the GenePro G1 is the ball-to-pin mode. There are days when golf carts are restricted to the cart path. This means you have to walk across the fairway to your ball without knowing the distance to the pin. You have to carry several clubs with you so you have the right club for the shot. The GenePro G1 solves that by letting you target the ball and then the pin. It calculates the distance from the pin to the ball, making your walk easier and lighter.

Mileseey’s free app pairs with the GenePro G1, gathering shot stats as well as round stats. If you like tracking your scores and club lengths, it’s all in there for simplified tracking.
