NEWS – Is it just me, or does the TITANER multi-tool prybar look like it should be hovering out in space? And also, is the new trend in EDC gear to add a fidget factor to the design? Remember the Mezmopen that I just reviewed? It could be considered a fidget toy… and now so can the TITANER which is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.
What is it?
The TITANER is a multi-tool made from titanium (shock!) whose main feature is a prybar, but other features include a nail puller, flat screwdriver, scraper, window breaker (I wish multi-tool makers would skip this unused feature), bit driver, and bottle opener (this feature is also lost on me).
But what makes the TITANER interesting to me is that it has a fidget feature. The lid for the 4mm and 6mm bit storage compartment uses ceramic beads for a clicky sliding action. Check out the video below to see what I mean.
The TITANER campaign ends on 01/06/25 and they have already successfully met and passed their funding goal of $1,955. You can pre-order a TITANER starting at $127. After the TITANER campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in March 2025. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details. What do you think? Are you thinking about ordering one?
