Setup
Before using the Ruko R299 Portable Power Station the first thing that I did was charge it fully.
Performance
The Ruko R299 Portable Power Station is great to carry around in my gear bag or truck and provides access to power and charge on the fly. The wireless charging is great since I use my iPhone so much that it always seems to need charging. I use my CPAP machine for an average of 5 hours at a time and this power station can handle it with no issue. The display screen is nice and easy to see and provides all of the necessary info:
The power station is well built and the carrying handle is sturdy. I wish that it had more USB-C ports since many of my cables are now USB-C to USB-C. However, USB-A to USB-C cables are still readily available, The ability to recharge the power station using the DC plug in my ruck is also nice. If outdoors for a long time, portable solar panels can work. I also do wish that there was at least another AC port. The flashlight is bright and convenient. I expect this Ruko R299 Portable Power Station to last for years.
Here is a photo of the nice flashlight on the back that is quite bright and very convenient when needed.
The photo below shows the power station powering my CPAP machine and travel radio while wirelessly charging my phone.
What I like about the Ruko R299 Portable Power Station
- It is well-built
- It is lightweight and portable
- it has adequate ports and connectivity
- It can be charged in multiple ways
- The included flashlight
- The wireless charging feature
What needs to be improved?
- I would like at least 2 AC ports and 2 USB-C ports
Final thoughts
The Ruko R299 Portable Power Station is a lightweight and compact power solution that works well for on-the-go mobile charging and as a power source. I do wish that it had more than one AC port and more than one USB-C port.
