ARTICLE – Since 2019, I’ve reviewed 135 gadgets with my son and co-reviewer Mason. Recently, Mason headed off to college. Of all those gadgets, these are the four that he took with him to campus.
- JLabs JBudgs Lux ANC wireless headphones were a recent review, specifically chosen for college. They’re comfortable, have good sound quality and noise reduction, and an amazingly long battery life.
- The MECOOL projector is already being put to good use in Mason’s dorm. It’s light, portable and has integrated speakers. For a dorm, it takes up significantly less space than a TV — plus, you can bring it to friends’ rooms or use it for outdoor movies or gaming.
- Purivortex air purifier is one of several air purfiers that we’ve reviewed, and Mason’s favorite. It’s compact, quiet and has been going strong since early 2022. We got a compatible replacement filter for $10 on Amazon, and it was good to go.
- Exway electric skateboard is one of Mason’s all-time favorite gadgets. He hopes to use it to zip around campus. Right now he’s just been walking to get the lay of the land. However, even if it’s just for fun during study breaks, he loves this skateboard.
