Setting up the ACEMAGIC F2A Ultra 5 125H Mini PC follows the same straightforward software initialization process required for every Windows OS PC.

The ACEMAGIC F2A Ultra 5 125H (AI MINI PC) Mini PC performed very well and is one of the best mini PCs that I have tested thus far. The F2A is the new series of Processors from Intel. I understand that Processors like the Core i5 or i7 are now old news. These new Processors are designed to handle AI workloads. My understanding of this new concept is that this new generation of CPUs measures performance by level of smartness rather than speed. The 32GB of DDR5 RAM and the 1TB hard drive make this a beast right out of the box. New updates to Windows 11 promise to include powerful AI-type applications. It performs well for daily routine tasks like using the MS Office suite, browsing the internet, and watching videos. It has no issues handling applications like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Adobe Premiere, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Audition, which I use almost daily.  Numerous websites are advertising AI applications, like Ai Painter, etc, and it will take some time for me to get used to them to provide valuable feedback when engaging in a knowledgeable conversation about AI performance. The mini PC runs quietly under “normal” loads, and under “heavy” loads, its fans turn on but are not loud. This mini PC supports dual monitors with no issue via its 2 HDMI ports. The WiFi 7 connection is solid and blazingly fast and the Bluetooth 5.5 connection is rock solid. I am sticking with my usual testing procedures using Novabench and Cinebench.

As is my custom, I tested the benchmark ranking using Cinebench.

This Mini PC also boasts the capability to utilize the speed of WiFi 7. The screenshot below shows the consistent speed that I achieved. My network bandwidth is 2GB/2GB.

Malware scan results

Unfortunately, a couple of the ACEMAGIC mini-PCs that were reviewed by the Gadgeteer had malware installed. I ran a couple of malware scans using Total AV and AVG Free on this mini PC, just in case, and they came back clean.

What I like about the ACEMAGIC F2A Ultra 5 125H mini PC

  • It is compact and lightweight
  • It performs very well
  • It has adequate ports for good versatility
  • There is room for additional storage
  • Its design is attractive

What needs to be improved?

  • I need mini PCs to include at least 2 USB-C ports even if they lack Power Delivery

Final thoughts

The ACEMAGIC F2A Ultra 5 125H (AI MINI PC) is a powerful machine capable of easily handling applications like Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve without breaking a sweat. This is true even with very large files. It also handles gaming well and my son loves playing Fortnite on it. And, with the WiFI 7 connection, he can move around and not worry about needing to be tethered to an ethernet cable. AI is still very new to me so I need to spend more time with AI Apps, but overall, I like this mini PC.
