REVIEW – As I continue to work on social media content, I am considering offering merchandise like clothing, etc with my designs. I could create the graphics and use an online company for production, but I also want to create a line where each piece is unique. I have been thinking about buying a heat press for quite a while and as I was narrowing down the choices vs my needs, this Akeydiy Heat Press was offered for review.

The Akeydiy Heat Press is a heavy-duty solidly built device made mostly from metal and ABS. It features a heat press bed and a heavy lid that sandwiches the garment and the transfer media together using heat. This machine has a knob to adjust the clamping pressure, an LED control module, an on/off switch, and a circuit breaker,
Setup
The Akeydiy Heat Press is very easy to set up to get started because it arrives assembled. You just have to set the time and temperature as required, allow the device to heat to that temperature, place the garment on the heat bed, and transfer media on the garment in the position you choose. Once the heat press reaches the desired temperature it will provide an audible notification. You then swing the top over the garment press it down and press start. Once the pressing time is up, you lift the handle and swing it away. In my case with the vinyl transfer, you just peel off the plastic-type cover material that is over the design and it is permanently on the garment. It is that simple.
Performance
The Akeydiy Heat Press performs very well and is just very easy to use. The user manual suggests time and temperature for various types of material. It does give the choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius but not much else is needed. So far it has worked exceptionally well with no failures.

I pressed the design on this shirt for my daughter to use as a part of her Black History Month school presentation. I purchased the transfer designs from Amazon.

- The menu could be a bit more refined
Final thoughts
The Akeydiy Heat Press has met and exceeded my expectations especially since it is my first attempt at using such a device and at pressing deignes onto garments. I really like this machine and I can’t wait to press my own designs onto shirts, bags, etc. Well done!
