REVIEW – Earlier today, I posted a review of the NOMAD Magnetic Leather Back for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. That’s a “case” for the absolute minimalist. The review I have for you now is the NOMAD Super Slim iPhone case which is also a very thin case, but it also protects the sides of the iPhone and not just the back. Let’s take a look.

What is it?

The NOMAD Super Slim iPhone case is NOMAD’s thinnest case yet. It’s made of 50% post-industrial recycled material and is available in Carbide (shown here) and Frost.

What’s in the box?

Design and features

At just 0.6mm thick, this is indeed a super slim case that features a semi-transparent matte finish that allows the color of your iPhone to show through.

The top edge of the case wraps around the display for added protection.

Cutouts on the left side allow easy volume and action buttons access.

There’s also a cutout on the right side for the power button. All button cutouts have chamfered edges, making access to the buttons easier.

The NOMAD Super Slim case is so thin that you don’t have to worry about USB-C cables not fitting.

The back of the case has a raised ring around the camera module that protects the lenses from everyday wear and tear, and you place the phone on a flat surface.

I found the case was easy to put on the iPhone and as easy to remove. The texture of the case made the iPhone feel a little less slippery while still allowing me to easily slide it into and out of a pocket. I also liked that the case doesn’t pick up fingerprints or greasy smudges.

What I like

  • Super thin
  • Easy to insert and remove the phone from the case

What I’d change

  • Need more colors

Final thoughts

Although the NOMAD Super Slim case might not save your iPhone from a long drop, it barely adds any weight or bulk to the iPhone and will help protect it from everyday scuffs and scratches. It also adds some extra grip to the phone. And for the price we pay for new iPhones, a little extra protection on our investment is always a good thing.

  2. Does the case have the magsafe magnets, or is it just a shell? I like these minimal cases, but I LOOOVVVEE my MagSafe PopSocket Wallet attachment … and couldn’t give that up.

      1. That’s not true. There are no magnets in the slim case from NOMAD and magnetic strength from the phone is slightly diminished through the case.
