The Dynamic 14 Piece 1000 V Insulated Screwdriver Set with Interchangeable Blades features interchangeable blades with a slim tip to fit tight terminal blocks. The blades can be securely and easily released with a twist of the lock collar. The blades have a 1000-Volt insulation rating and the handles are non-slip. There is a screwdriver cap that fits onto any of the blades and allows each blade to be converted into a precision screwdriver. A storage pouch with a belt clip is included.

Performance

The Dynamic 14 Piece 1000 V Insulated Screwdriver Set with Interchangeable Blades works well for a variety of jobs. The materials that they are made from make them feel strong and durable. This includes the bits themselves. The ability to use one handle and interchange blades is great and it is even better that, unlike many other similar tools I have used, this handle twists and locks onto the blade creating a solid tool overall.

The screwdriver cap snaps onto the top of any of the blades and gives the ability to rotate the blade in place. This is especially helpful when working with smaller screws.

In addition, the included voltage tester is nice if you just need to make a quick check for the presence of voltage. I would suggest using a proper tester to let you know how much voltage is present, but this tool will alert you. Overall, this is a well-made, attractive set that will be a part of my go-to tool bag. The case can be carried on your belt, but that’s not my style.

What I like

  • The blades feel solid and well-made
  • The interchangeable blades make this set versatile
  • The nice storage/carrying case
  • The electrical tester is a convenient bonus
  • The screwdriver cap

What I’d change

  • I don’t have any so far

Final thoughts

The Dynamic 14 Piece 1000 V Insulated Screwdriver Set with Interchangeable Blades is a nice toolset that will come in handy for many of my DIY projects including the con stand requests from my kids to fix toys or to dismantle something they want to explore. The carrying/storage case will likely keep me from losing them. I hope!! 🙂

  2. Back in the late 70’s, I was working in a tv shop. Had a tube tv that had an intermittent short in the high voltage transformer. Took my insulated screw driver and held onto the metal part, tapped the transformer area and got a ZAP! The plastic handle had a crack and the high voltage found it, got to the metal and then me. Nice tingle! (not).
These look better to not crack.

    1. These tools are rated for 1000v and a crt high voltage will be considerably more. You were fortunate to only suffer a tool failure.
