REVIEW – Are you looking to upgrade your end tables? Do you constantly have something charging? We always have things charging all over our house from laptops to cell phones and gaming devices. Assembly
Assembling the iLive End Table is really quite simple, took about 40 minutes to construct from start to finish. Putting together was very similar to online or department store furniture and the instructions were easy to follow. My only negative feedback would be that the instructions to not point out to watch out for finished vs unfinished sides of the wood pieces when assembling. So when you are putting together your new iLive table, make sure to pay attention to which sides you are attaching and that the unfinished side isn’t exposed.
Design and features
The iLive End Table with AC power and charging port is described as a “traditionally designed table with a modern twist”. A very accurate description as it looks like all the other traditional end tables we have purchased with the one drawer and adds a little “gadget” in it with the 2 AC power inputs and an additional 2 USB inputs.
I love that this classic style of table could be used as an end table beside your couch and also as a wonderful nightstand option. The iLive table has currently been confiscated by my teenager to use as a nightstand and I’ve heard no complaints from her using it to charge and use all her electronic devices. She loves being able to easily plug things in without hassling with long cords and stretching to reach wall outlets.
The iLive End Table has a drawer that is a good size to fit all those nightstand needed items and/or those items you want to hide in your end tables like magazines, remotes, etc. The table also has a bottom ledge that provides plenty of storage and display space and the top surface is great for a lamp, alarm clock, and your favorite decorative items.
This iLive table design comes in three color options, walnut, oak and white. I will say we wished it came in a black option to go with some of the other furniture in that space, but having three options is more than a lot of other companies. I will say that the white option is not a true white, but more of an off white, which you can see a little better in the picture of the table in her room next to her rug and bedding that are more of a true white.
The iLive End Table with AC power and charging port’s charging ports and outlets have worked well. As I mentioned before, my daughter is able to charge two devices, have a lamp plugged in and have one more outlet available to use as needed. The only thing is that we wish the chargers were USB-C ports vs USB ports.
What I like
- Easy assembly
- Multiple color options
- Price point
What I’d change
- Add or change USB to USB-C ports
- Add a black color option
Final thoughts
I guess this is another one of those products I didn’t know I needed, until I tried it out. Whether it is the iLive end table or another brand, if your tables don’t have integrated charging capabilities, you are really missing out!

Nice review! I’ve really been enjoying my “charging” furniture, too. USB-C will come, but, then, half of the “USB-C” charging items I’ve been getting have USB-A cables on the other end and only charge at 7.5W, so it’s not been as bad as it could be.
