NEWS – As an amateur artist, I enjoy using my Apple pencil to draw and create on my iPad Air. But as great as it may be, it’s not like drawing on actual paper. The surface is glossy and slick, so it never feels natural. The Rock Paper Pencil (awesome name) is a screen protector and Apple Pencil tip combo that work together to offer a realistic pen-on-paper feel.

The screen protector has a matte finish that mimics the texture of paper and reduces glare. It uses magnetic edges to snap into place quickly and is removable and reusable.

The screen protector works in conjunction with a fine-point, precision Apple pencil tip that writes and draws like a smooth ballpoint pen on paper. The pencil tips and screen protector are also wear-resistant. The Rock Paper Pencil comes with a screen protector, 2 ballpoint Apple Pencil tips, and a protective storage sleeve. It’s compatible with the 11″ iPad Air and 11″-12.9″ iPad Pro. You can purchase your Rock Paper Pencil from Astropad for $40.

  2. If only Apple made an iPad screen that could accommodate a ceramic tipped pin, such as the kind Supernote requires, the iPad would be the jack of all trades!

The ceramic tipped pen that Supernote requires never wears down – which is one of the reasons I love my Supernote.
