REVIEW β Do you shop for a new case for your phone or tablet only to realize that 90% of the cases on the market are boring and look the same? If you like variety, youβre going to love CASETiFY cases. They sent me 2 cases for my iPad Pro and without completely summing up the review in the first paragraph, I will say that Iβm impressed. But, letβs take a closer look.
What is it?
CASETiFY is a company that sells a HUGE variety of cases for popular phones and tablets. The variety comes in all the styles that they have including the ability to make a one of a kind custom case/cover with your own message on the back.
Whatβs in the box?
- A woven drawstring bag with the case
The bag is a nice touch if you find such a bag to be useful, but I have to wonder how many people will just throw it awayβ¦
Design and features
CASETiFY asked if I wanted to review their cases, so I decided to take the opportunity to test their iPad Pro 11-inch back cover cases. I picked their Ultra Impact Cases and they let me pick 2 styles. For the first style, I went completely clear just in case I decide to put stickers on the back of my iPad down the road. I also like that Apple logo wonβt be covered up.
The back of this particular case is completely transparent with black sides. The corners feature bumpers that give it its shockproof qualities. You can also in the image above, that there are built-in volume buttons, but the power button is a cutout.
There are also cutouts for the speakers and microphone on the top edge of the case. The bottom edge has additional cutouts for speakers and the USB-C charging port.
The only branding on the case is around the camera module cutout on the back.
Thereβs also some text on the side of the case which lets you and everyone else know that itβs made of recycled plastic. Iβm not really sure why this needs to be printed on the caseβ¦
The sides of the case are flexible enough to allow you to insert and remove the iPad without too much trouble.
The inside corners and left side of the case all have extra cushioning built-in added shockproof-i-ness.
The caseβs edges wrap around the sides of the iPad for added protection. The case even provides protection to the iPadβs display if you happen to lay the iPad face down on a surface.
The Ultra Impact Case is made of recycled plastic that is scratch-resistant, shockproof, and antimicrobial. CASETiFY also says that their cases are fingerprint resistant, but I didnβt find this to be the case (pun intended) with the clear version shown here. It is actually a magnet for fingerprints and smudges. The case with the geometric designs on the back is completely resistant to fingerprints and smudges due to the texture of the material.
One other feature worth mentioning is that the CASETiFY Ultra Impact Cases allow you to attach and charge your Apple Pencil while your iPad is in the case.
What I like
- Easy to insert and remove the iPad from the case
- Shockproof
- So many design choices!!!!
- Apple Pencil attachment and charging ability
What Iβd change
- Expensive
Final thoughts
I like the CASETiFY cases quite a bit for their form and function, but I do think they are expensive. That said, being able to choose from so many styles might make the price worth it to many people. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
