A more appropriate/”gadgety” tree stand would be the ones from Krinner.

We got one a few years ago, and it’s so much better than any stand I’d used previously: you just put the tree trunk in the stand, hold it vertically, pump the foot pedal until it goes “ding” and you’re done. Easily done by one person, and so much easier than any of the “kneel on the ground and muck about with screws” stands.
