REVIEW – What is the measure of a person? Or, what is the measure of anything? Monocarbon wants carbon fiber to be featured heavily in the measure of things with their new carbon fiber dual scale ruler. Let’s see if it measures up.
What is it?
This is a ruler. It has two scales to measure up to 12-inches and 30-centimeters.
What’s in the box?
My sample shipped without a box, so I cannot comment on what will be included in the retail package. If it ships like all other Monocarbon products, the box will be really nice and perfect for gift-giving.
Hardware specs
- Size: 330mm x 30mm x 1.2mm
- Weight: 15g
- Scales: Inches & centimeters
- Material: Carbon fiber
Design and features
The ruler is made from a single piece of carbon fiber. Monocarbon then screens a dual scale onto the face of the ruler so you can measure items up to 12 inches or 30 centimeters long.
If you flip it over, you can gaze at the unblemished carbon fiber goodness. On the one end, there is a hole so if you’re so inclined, you can hang the ruler on a small peg or nail.
Performance
The Monocarbon carbon fiber dual scale ruler has two measures of performance. First, it looks great. Second, the scales are accurate, so it measures well. That’s really all you can ask of a ruler.
What I like
- Good looks
- Dual scales
What I’d change
- Pricey for a ruler
Final thoughts
As rulers go, this is really nice-looking one. Does it bring anything special to the measure meant game? Nope. But, it does bring high-tech carbon fiber to the party, so if you’re a carbon fiber-lover, then the Monocarbon carbon fiber dual scale ruler will suit you well. If you’re the head of a country and have this by your side, then you could be a fine ruler with a fine ruler.

Keep your steel box cutter knives away from this. They will shave off the edges. That’s why we wouldn’t use these in the carbon fiber dept. at my work.
