NEWS – Having personally reviewed several of Bellroy’s wallets and having been impressed with all of them, in the back of my mind I’d started to wonder if, as solid as Bellroy’s product offer is (and it really is), could they launch something new that would really catch my eye.  And of course, they did.  Bellroy’s new Apex series of wallets are here, debuting with two impressive-looking wallets: the Apex Slim Sleeve and the Apex Passport Cover.

Bellroy’s new Apex series includes the following features:

  • Pre-molded, clamshell-style shape made from precision-cut leather needs no break-in time
  • Stitchless, heat-bonded lamination construction for durability
  • Protective RFID lining
  • Magnetic closure

The Bellroy Apex Slim Sleeve is more than an update to the original Slim Sleeve that I reviewed back in 2013. This completely new version includes all of the signature Apex series features listed above, plus an ultra-thin pull-tab for easy and quick access.  It holds 6-8 cards plus folded bills and is available in Onyx or  Tan.

The Bellroy Apex Passport Cover borrows some features from the Travel Wallet, but transforms it into a completely new passport wallet by combining the Apex series features listed above and adds a micro pen, and a slip reveal for quick access to folded bills.  It has space for a passport, boarding passes, 2-4 cards plus folded bills and is available in Onyx or Tan.

The Bellroy Apex Slim Sleeve retails for $129 and the Bellroy Apex Passport Cover retails for $159.  Visit Bellroy.com for additional details or to order.

  2. Hi,
I purchased the Bellroy Apex Slim Sleeve a while ago and to be honest; it is priced at twice its true value!

The minimal amount of leather used, admittedly due to its minimalist design, along with the small amount of leather used do not earn or warrant the ridiculous £120 selling price.
I am familiar with Bellroy and have been a fan up until their whole new design/ Pricing and even bland new packaging have come into play.
I cannot believe anyone who has purchased this wallet would say it is worth the cost?
