You can have a true typing experience with it’s aluminum body, full sized keyboard and beautiful 3-level LED backlit keys. The butterfly keyboard has only 1.5mm of travel for a smoother typing experience. Plus, no matter where you are or how dark it is, the Brydge 12.9 delivers the perfect typing experience in low light conditions.

The Series II now features longer battery life and faster connection, zero lag and greater security with Bluetooth 4.1. There’s an integrated iOS Battery Management for less power drain.

  2. was hoping this was going-to be an early preview of the unit, not just a repost of the content the Brydge already has on their website 🙁

      1. Maybe the word “News” should be bolded so that we will know right off the bat that it is a news post.

The novelty here is the Brydge hinge. It’s interesting (I use a bluetooth keyboard with an iPad), that is until I read this disclaimer: “Note: The hinge is designed specifically for the thickness of the iPad only, or the iPad with a Brydge brand screen protector only. (Please remove any 3rd party screen protector from your iPad prior to inserting in to Brydge hinges).

In other words, if you have ANY non-Brydge protection for your iPad, remove it first (who wants to do that every time). For me, that’s a non-starter.

  4. I am a big fan of the Zagg slim keyboard that allows one to remove the iPad from the keyboard and still have protection with a back cover. Maybe not aluminum but very responsive and turns my iPad into a laptop.
