crowdfund

This week I’m bringing you info about several Kickstarter and Indiegogo crowdfunding campaigns that look interesting to me and might be interesting to all of you too. Click through to see this week’s collection of notable crowdfunding campaigns.

BULLET 02 | World’s Smallest Flashlight, Even Smaller.

What is it?
The BULLET 02 is a 40 S&W Luger bullet sized 20 lumens LED flashlight that you can attach to your keychain, your jacket, etc. The BULLET 02 can run for 18+ hours when powered on constantly and uses 3 LR41 batteries.

Why do I like it?
I like the BULLET 02 because it’s made of aerospace-grade aluminum, so it’s not going to crack if you sit on it, step on it or even run over it (probably) with your car. It’s also super tiny and I like tiny things. Especially flashlights. You’re obviously not going to use the BULLET 02 on your next camping trip out in the woods, but it does look handy for those times when you need quick access to a little extra illumination.

With 57 days left in their campaign, The BULLET 02 campaign has already met their funding goal of $10,000 seven times over. You can pre-order a BULLET 02 starting at $10. After the BULLET 02 campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in November 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

Pixlplay™: Turn your smartphone into a fun camera!

What is it?
The Pixlplay is a case for your old iPhone or Android phone that turns it into a fun camera for your kids with a working shutter button.

Why do I like it?
I like the Pixlplay because it repurposes your unused smartphones into a toy that can spark a child’s imagination and creativity. The case works with smartphones that have a maximum dimension of 5.59 x 2.95 x 0.374 inches (142 x 75 x 9.5 mm). Some phones that are compatible include: iPhone 7, 6s, 6, 5, SE, 5s, 5c, 4, 4s and iPod Touch, Samsung S7, S6, S5, Google Pixel (See their FAQ for the full list).

The Pixlplay has a rubber grip, neck strap and it also knobs and dials that turn to give it a realistic camera feel.

With 18 days left in their campaign, The Pixlplay campaign has already met their funding goal of $25,000. You can pre-order a Pixlplay starting at $25. After the Pixlplay campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in June 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

The Ultimate Titanium “Click” Pen ..Built To Last A LIFETIME

What is it?
The Titanium “Click” Pen is just what the name says it is. It’s a pen made of titanium that has a click mechanism to extend the writing tip.

Why do I like it?
I like the Titanium “Click” Pen because it’s a click pen. The majority of new pens that we see on Kickstarter and Indiegogo have a screw on cap. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s much easier to click a button and immediately start writing, then to unscrew a cap, post the cap on the opposite end of the pen and then start writing. This pen also has a pretty cool looking retraction mechanism that uses the pocket clip. You press the top button to extend the tip and press the pocket clip to retract.

With 12 days left in their campaign, The Titanium “Click” Pen campaign has already met their funding goal of $3,396. You can pre-order a Titanium “Click” Pen starting at about $124. After the Titanium “Click” Pen campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in August 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

JS Shoes – World’s First Ever 3D Knitted Shoes.

What is it?
JS Shoes are featherweight, formfitting, eco-friendly and breathable shoes.

Why do I like it?
I like JS Shoes because they are made with 3D knitting technology that eliminates almost all of the material wasted during production and 80% of the manufacturing process. So they are both feet-friendly and earth-friendly footwear.

Where can I find more info?
The JS Shoes campaign met their funding goal earlier this month and are now selling their shoes via Indiegogo Indemand. You can pre-order JS Shoes starting at $59 a pair with estimated shipping to start in April 2017. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.
