If you’ve been shopping for a Bluetooth speaker recently, you’ve found that they come in almost every color you can imagine, as well as many shapes and sizes. How does a speaker manufacturer set their speaker apart from the 1000’s of other speakers on the market? What if they added a projector to the speaker, would that interest you? The Dashbon Flicks is a typical Bluetooth speaker with a not so typical special feature. The Flicks comes in two models. Each has a built-in HD LED projector, two precision-tuned full-range speakers with a subwoofer, and one microphone for speakerphone functionality. The 280WH model can play 720p video for up to 8 hours on a single charge or music for up to 56 hours while the 140WH version plays video for 4hrs and audio for 28hrs. All without a power cord! The portable and light weight projector allows you to project a 100” HD image from just 8 feet away and it works with Roku, Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV Stick. Imagine taking the Flicks camping or other gatherings. The Dashbon Flicks is priced at $599 – $699. Visit Dashbon for more info and Amazon to order.

The idea is cool, but unfortunately their “700 LED brightness”…feels just marketing-speak for “dim as all get out, but maybe nobody will notice if we use some kind of weird metric.”
All small LED projectors we have tried have been crap, so we’ll be excited when we can see this “in the wild.”
