Do you have an adventurous child? Do you ever wonder what the world looks like from their point of view when they are performing their wild stunts? Perhaps not if you’re squeamish, but if you do, you may not want to hand over your $400 GoPro Hero4 action camera to your little daredevil to capture such feats. Vtech has come up with another alternative for you – the Kidizoom Action Cam for children four years old and over. It’s a rugged action camera able to withstand the antics of your kids. It has a 1.41″ LCD screen and comes with a mounting shell, mounting attachment, adhesive flat mount, two double-sided adhesive tape strips, bike mount, waterproof case, wrist strap, and a micro USB 2.0 data/charging cable. It can be mounted to a bike, bike helmet, or skateboard and it can be used underwater with the aid of the waterproof case. It is capable of capturing 15 minutes of 640 x 480 resolution AVI videos when using a memory card (up to a 32 GB microSD/microSDHC card class 6 or above) and taking 640 x 480 resolution JPEG photos. It only comes with 128 MB of built-in memory so purchasing an SD card is recommended. The camera will last 2.5 hours when used continuously and requires about three hours to fully charge. The Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam is available for $59 from Walmart. For more information visit www.vtechkids.com or search the user manual for more details.
