If you complain about your iPhone or Android phone running out of battery at the most inopportune times, you need a backup battery. But which one do you buy? They come in all shapes, all sizes and all capacities. But the one thing the Powerskin PoP’n backup battery pack has going for it is the fact that it’s only going to cost you 1 cent (not including shipping) if you order before May 16th at 11:59pm (ET) when the offer expires. The Powerskin PoP’n backup battery pack isn’t an ordinary battery pack that requires a USB cable for connection to your phone. This one has been designed to stick to the back of your phone with suction cups. It features a 2000mAh capacity battery in a thin design with a micro USB, 30 pin iPhone or lightning connectors. The PoP’n is available in versions for the iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5/5s and a variety of Android phones that have a micro USB connector. I’m assuming that the iPhone 5/5s version also works with the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones. To buy this battery pack for only one penny, visit Powerskin.com and use the promo code ONECENT. You will still be responsible for shipping which is $9.99 at the low end and up to $38 if you want overnight Fedex delivery (these are the shipping charges I saw when I tested the ordering process so they may be different depending on your location). Act fast if you’re interested in getting this deal because I’ve noticed at least one version is already on back order.

Seems like it is also valid if you are Canadian. However, the shipping costs 24$. I don’t think it is worth it at that price.
@Norman I agree. The $10 price is worth it, but the others aren’t in my opinion.
Ok I took a bite, we will see how it does. My SO needs something like this.
I got a box after coming back from paypal that said “Warning coupon is either invalid or has reached its usage limit”
However they only charged me $10 so it might be ok.
I wouldn’t assume that it works on the iphone 6 or 6s.. sure the lightning connector should work but its about the size (thickness) of the iphone that is the difference. This adaptor from the battery to the device with the curved adaptor is fixed and the iphone 6 will sit LOWER on the suction cups than an iphone 5 or 4 would. In that case, it could put undue pressure on the female side of the plug (on your device) or be prone to failure or sliding off.
9.99$ is cheap but I’m staying away.
Indeed a quick look at the specifications shows the iphone 6 version is indeed thinner than the iphone 5 version as one would expect but arguably not by much.
so, buyer beware is all I’ll say.
I took a bite too. $10.00 out the door.
I received mine with ~half charge. It was able to charge my daughter’s iPhone 4S by +10% while we were out and about, before it pooped out. I was able to charge it full in about 4 hours, after we got home. Works with my other daughter’s iPhone 3GS too. Seems to be a good size for those phones.
I took a bite, as well, for the $10. Incidentally, their version for the iPhone 6 is a 4000 mAh battery, but of course there is no 99-cent offer for that model.
Thanks for the heads up on this, Julie.
I have received mine in Android white. Little Mini-Review.
Received the unit, and promptly had it stolen by my 2 year old. After failing in my attempt to rationalize with him to give it back I ended up trading a box of raisins for it. The Battery arrived with no charge. I placed it on my charging stand and waited. Then I forgot about it, so I do not have an accurate idea of how long it took to charge. However a day or two later I was sitting on my couch catching up on Orphan Black my phone (Note 4) gave me the dreaded “CHARGE ME NOW OR YOUR LIFE WILL END” message. Since I was “working” I needed to have my phone on me, and I remembered the battery pack. I paused the show and fetched the battery from my office. Plugged it in, and turned it on. BOOP my phone says it’s charging. Ok back to Orphan Black. My phone continued this way for 3 more episodes.
The goods, $10 total. Great deal at that price. The rubber elbow is very well designed and holds in place without placing strain on the connector. I got about 1/2 a charge out of the battery on my Note 4. I didn’t really expect much more than that. a 2000mh battery is not going to be able to charge a 3400mh battery to full. However it did add several hours to the runtime. It bought me the time I needed. The suction cups unfortunately did not stick the the faux leather back of the NOTE 4. But was secure while being held and setting on end table. It did attach beautifully to my partners S6 which has a smooth back.
All in all, it’s a nice battery and well made elegant and functional design. The capacity is too low for my uses and the suction cups don’t work with my phone. My partner now owns it, and he is enjoying it on his S6. Worth the $10, maybe $20, however not the $49 in my opinion.
John and Andrew, thanks for the reviews. I wish I would have ordered one for myself… I could have used it on my vacation this week.
