Vallett-1

When it comes to every day carry items, I am always looking for the unique or different, especially when it comes to wallets. I am not necessarily in the market for a new wallet, but when I see one that has a little quirk or a different design philosophy I like to check it out. The Vallett wallet on Kickstarter caught my eye. Working on the theme that less is more, the Vallett is a super thin Aerospace grade carbon fiber wallet that is stronger than steel and weighs less than two ounces. When I first saw this wallet it looked a lot like other two piece (front plate, black plate, elastic band to hold together) wallets like the HuMn, but when I looked into it, I realized it was different. The Vallett is more like a traditional wallet then it first appeared.  With the two carbon fiber outer covers being permanently held together by an elastic band, it allows it to expand or contract to fit what is in your wallet. The Vallett has elastic sewn to the inside of each piece of the carbon fiber cover to hold your items secure. It comes in two sizes: The Small and The Smaller with a choice of stitching colors. There are several pledge points for this project with a $49 pledge getting you a choice of Vallett wallet sizes and stitching colors. This project is seeking funding until May 11, 2015 and if successfully funded is slated to ship in the July 2015 time frame.
