I long for the perfect smartphone. You know, the one that has awesome battery life, a high resolution camera that takes clear pictures in low light, and fantastic audio quality to blow you away. I recently upgraded my phone to a Nexus 6, but found one of the things lacking was the sound quality when using earphones or third party speakers. Sound quality may always take a back seat to all my other higher priority must-haves, however this does not have to be an issue with the tiny external Uamp amplifier. It measures 1.75″ x 1.75″ x ~0.5″ and has 10 hours of battery life. All that is necessary is to plug in your headphones and your device (computer, laptop, car stereo AUX, iOS or Android smartphone or tablet, or music player) using a 3.5 mm audio cable and presto – instant audio quality upgrade at all volume levels. With its equalizer, it also allows you to adjust frequency bands (Flat, Bass Boost, Bass Treble, Streaming music, and Custom). This is a Kickstarter project that has already filled its early bird pledges but still has available the regular Uamp pledges for $65 AUD which translates to about $51 USD. It will ship around July 2015 and comes with a charging cable, clip, and sticker pack.
