With the Polar Vortex in full blast, it’s not fit for man nor beast outside. You need to make sure you keep your four-footed friends indoors and safe, even when it’s not cold enough to kill, and many people like to use crates when they aren’t home with their animals or while they are sleeping. It’s hard to find a place big enough in our house where we can set up a crate for Teddy, and those metal crates certainly don’t add to the beauty of a room.
With the Orvis Handcrafted Ash Dog Crate, Fido’s little den looks like an end table. It’s available in medium (23″H x 29″L x 23″W) for dogs up to 40 pounds or large (27″H x 40¼” x 25″W) for dogs up to 75 pounds. The crates are handcrafted of ash with brass-finished hardware. The lid even lifts off for easy cleaning. The Ash Dog Crate in medium is $495, and the large is $595. Orvis says there’s an 8-week ship time.

Is it bad that the first thing I though of was “My toddler would LOVE this”
Entirely within reason.
I think it’d make a lovely playpen! I think a puppy and a toddler in anything contained would be great!
