When you get an iPhone, you get a little cube-shaped wall charger. Wouldn’t it be nice if that wall charger also served as a backup battery for your phone? Well, the NomadPlus doesn’t exactly make the iPhone’s charger into a backup battery, but it adds one to the charger. The NomadPlus fits around Apple charger and plugs into its USB port. It adds some extra size and a couple extra ounces of weight to the Apple charger, but it also adds a battery that holds an extra 70% charge for your iPhone. You plug the NomadPlus into the wall outlet, then plug the iPhone’s charge cable into the USB outlet; the phone charges first, then the battery will charge. Although it requires an iPhone charger, the battery itself can charge other USB-chargeable devices. Nomad is currently taking pre-orders for the NomadPlus. It’s $39 and will ship November 30.
