When time is critical, one has to rely on training and experience. There is no time for trying to figure out how to switch tools when under pressure.
In an emergency situation, a dedicated tool for the job will be more dependable every time.
This will be available Spring 2013 for $70.00. Cant wait!
@RainyDayInterns: On the other hand, when time is critical, the tool that is with you is better than the tool that’s not.
I wouldn’t stock the ambulance with these, but it’s probably worth carrying as a back-up, in case something happens to the main tool set. (Like something gets taken out and forgotten.)
It would be a good tool to have handy, yes dedicated are better but that is not waht cilivilans do.
Be nice to carry along especially for the carbide glass breaker…
I would not look forward to cleaning the blood, dirt, and other body fluids out of all of the nooks and crannies of those scissors. Better I think to have a cheapo pair of shears you can throw away without regretting the cost.
